Informative playgrounds-in-a-box for a museum
Team: gewerkdesign
For the Bürgermuseum Wolfenbüttel, a museum of the history of a small town in Germany, I helped conceptualize and create two little cabinets for kids. These cabinets explore topics that are presented in the museum's regular (adult) exhibition, but from an kid's angle.
One of the two cabinets is about industrialization, and it compares industrial manufacturing to hand-made processes with the example of mashed potatoes.
The second cabinet is about the significance of the river flowing through the city. In the cabinet, kids can explore the many different crafts which relied on the river as a water or energy source and solve different riddles about these craftsmen.
